WhatsApp for Windows Replaces Native App With WhatsApp Web Version on Latest Beta Release

WhatsApp for Windows has shifted from a native UWP app to a web-based client for testers. The native WhatsApp Windows app offered optimised performance and notifications on Windows. However, the new version, essentially the WhatsApp Web client in a web view, is anticipated to consume more system resources than the native client.
